Principles of Safety and Asepsis for the Professional OR Visitor is designed for health industry representatives whose business requires entry into the surgical suite, sometimes during the surgical procedure. The OR can be intimidating and it demands certain behaviors. Educational Dimensions has a top rated, fully accredited educational program to offer your account representatives. After this program they will be more than prepared when called upon to enter the surgical suite.

The program is presented to your group at your site. It is a two-hour program that can be incorporated into company orientation or annual sales training. Consistent with the Joint Commission Standards and AORN's "Position Statement on the Role of the Health Care Industry Representative in the OR," the class provides critical information on attire, infection prevention, aseptic technique, the sterile field, patient rights, safety considerations and more.

Participants attending the full educational activity will receive a laminated wallet card documenting program completion. RNs will receive 2 continuing education contact hours.
